Faubourg, a French restaurant that opened to acclaim in Montclair in 2019, is opening a second location in Weehawken this summer at 1100 Avenue at Port Imperial, a block from the Hudson River waterfront.
Dominique Paulin and Chef Oliver Muller said every detail in the new restaurant is "meticulously planned" to enhance the guest experience, with Faubourg divided into three sections to create distinct experiences.
The restaurant features an elongated main dining room, with an open kitchen, a cocktail lounge with ambient lighting and a private dining room for up to 30 people.
The menu will be similar to its Montclair location, which offers dishes like lemon sole and cauliflower, roasted chicken and meyer lemon and coq au vin- chicken and red wine, bacon, mushrooms and späetzle.
“Parisian faubourgs embody the convivial lively and welcoming atmosphere that we intend to have in our restaurants,” Paulin and Muller said.
“Faubourgs also lie on the outskirts of larger cities, similar to Weehawken and Montclair, and community builds around them. We look forward to bringing people together at the new Faubourg location, in the same manner that Faubourg Montclair has become a popular gathering place and anchor in Montclair.”
